San Patrick´s Festival Parade 2007
The Band of Bag Pipes LLACIN, has been proclaimed BEST OVERALL BAND Champion of the Contest of San Patricio's Festival 2007 celebrated in the city of Dublin - Ireland on March 17, 2007
They gathers the prize of better Band of the Hand festival of the President of the juror in name of the whole Band, Lorena Lobeto, Nuria Tarodo (Subdirector of the Band) and X. Mel Sánchez.
X. Mel Sánchez, gathering the second prize granted to the Band of Bag Pipes LLACIN as better band in your category.
In this Parade, besides our Band, they informed different formations of countries as Irlanda, USA, Escocia, Alemania, etc.
A juror formed by prestigious professionals as: Dr. Joseph Ryan(Executive Officer of the Defence Forces School of Music and Conductor of Tthe Army no.1 Band of Ireland), Dr. James G Hudson (Director of Athletic bands Arizona state university), Dr Andrea Strauss (Director of bands Georgia Institute of Technology) y el Dr. Peter Harbeck (Conductor Royal Life Guard's Music Corps) They valued the performance of the pipers for the different paragraphs puntuables for the competition: Musical quality, Presence and aesthetics, Military bearing in the parade, Acceptance of the public, etc, Obtaining in the total baremo the category of EXCELLENTLY (Superior to 74 point on 100).
In the evening, the Band of Bag Pipes LLACIN realized a performance in the GUINNESS STOREHOUSE (tourist excellent enclave of the Irish capital).
